Help for ohell cancellation
When OHell is being played with more than one deck, it is possible that the same
card will be played twice during a trick. For example, one player may play a
King of Spades. Another may play a second King of Spades. In this case, the two
cards are said to cancel each other out. Neither of them may win the trick.
However, if a third King of Spades is played, it reverses the cancellation (or
un-cancels). The first King of Spades is once again eligible to win the trick. A
fourth King of Spades would renew the cancellation, and all four cards would be
cancelled. In fact, any even number of identical cards cancel each other out;
any odd number leave only the first one played.
If every card in a trick is cancelled, with the possible exception of cards
which are not of the trump suit or the suit led, then the trick is said to be
cancelled. The cards are returned to the deck, and no one wins the trick.
In the event that a trick is cancelled, the player who led the cancelled trick
leads again, and play continues as usual.
